3 HomeSiders put on Phillies roster

The Phillies added 4 minor leaguers, 3 former BlueClaws, to their 40-man roster last week.  Zack Collier, Jonathan Pettibone and Trevor May were put on the list, along with pitcher Ethan Martin.  With the suspension of Carlos Ruiz for the first 25 games of the year, the Phillies now have 37 active players on the list.  17 of them are former Claws.

Jarred Cosart and Jonathan Villar were added to the Astros list.  Houston, in the AL West now, still has 3 openings and I expect Jonathan Singleton will get 1 of them.

The team with the most HomeSiders outside of the Phillies is Toronto.  If healthy, Jay Happ and Kyle Drabek could both be in the rotation, and as of now, it seems Travis d'Arnaud will be given a chance to fight for a major league job.  In a suddenly very crowded Toronto outfield, the addition of Melky Cabrera to an already strong tandem of Rajai Davis and Jose Bautista,  it would seem Anthony Gose would have a tough time getting to play.  But these things have a way of working themselves out, so I am not counting Anthony out of it just yet!!
