Brew crew wins again

In Philadelphia Saturday, the Brewers topped the Phillies, 4-3.  Tyler Cloyd pitched well, going 7 innings and giving up 3 runs, just 2 earned, on 8 hits and 1 walk, and took the hard luck loss.  Domonic Brown had a hit and stole his 4th base, Ryan Howard was 1 for 3 with a walk, and Freddy Galvis hit a home run, his 4th of the year.  Galvis is just 3 for his last 29.  Antonio Bastardo threw a 1-2-3 9th inning, fanning 2..................In Denver, the Rockies got past the Dodgers, 7-6 in 10 innings.  Josh Outman retired the 2 hitters he faced for Colorado, striking out 1 of them........In San Diego, the Padres edged the Blue Jays, 4-3.  Anthony Gose had 2 hits for Toronto, raising his average to .286.


In Allentown, the IronPigs came out on top of the Braves, 10-9.  Steve Susdorf  (.319) had a single, a triple and a walk, and knocked in 2 runs for Lehigh Valley, and Darin Ruf had a hit and an RBI........In Reading, Edgar Duran had 2 hits and an RBI, and Anthony Hewitt hit his 2nd home run of the year, but the Fightin Phils dropped a 5-3 decision to Akron.  Hector Neris started and went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 5 and falling to 3-2, 4.35 for the year.  Mike Nesseth posted 2 scoreless frames, giving up 3 hits..................In Columbus, Carlos Carrasco had a rough time, giving up 9 runs, 8 of whcih were earned, on 9 hits and 3 walks in just 4 innings of work against Indianaplois.  The Indians won the game, 10-9 in 10 innings..........In Albuquerque, Jonathan Villar had 2 hits, a walk, scored a run and drove in another for the RedHawks as Oklahoma City rallied for 6 in the 9th inning for a 13-10 win over the Isotopes..............In Reno, Tuffy Gosewisch (.296) had a triple and a 2-run home run (#6)  for the Aces, who lost an 8-6 game in 10 innings to the Padres.  Jesus Merchan (.253) led off the 10th inning with a double for Tucson, eventually scoring the winning run.
