Caribbean Series-Day 4

Venezuela continues on a roll, defeating Dominican Republic, 3-2. The victory improves their record at the series to 4-0, and eliminates both Puerto Rico and the Dominican. Mexico's 5-1 win over Puerto Rico in the nightcap keeps the Mexicans alive at 3-1 with the big match up Friday night at 9:00, Venezuela v Mexico. A win by Venezuela clinches the series for them, a win by Mexico ties the 2 teams at 4-1 each with 1 game remaining. If the teams remain tied after Saturday's games, there will be a winner take all playoff on Sunday.

On Thursday afternoon, with Venezuela leading 3-2 going to the 8th inning, they called on Victor Moreno again, and he did not disappoint, retiring the side in the 8th and picking up the first 2 outs in the 9th, before yielding to Francisco Butto again. Butto got the final out, to record his 3rd save in 4 days, and adding 2 more scoreless inning for the HomeSide!!
