I was short on time this morning, but here are some of the rest of Monday's highlights:
In Allentown, the Bisons made it a sweep of the IronPigs with an 8-2 win. Anthony Gose was 0 for 4 for Buffalo, but walked, drove in a run, and scored another one. Tyler Cloyd started the game and went 6 innings, and allowed 6 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks, and Leadro Castro had 2 hits for Lehigh Valley.
In Albuquerque, Jonathan Villar had 2 more hits for the RedHawks in their 8-1 loss to the Isotopes. Villar has had 4 2-hit games in a row, and is 14 for 32 (.436) in the last 8 games.
In Lakeland, Aaron Altherr had 2 hits and drove in the lone Threshers' run in a 3-1 loss to the Flying Tigers. Infielder Jonathan Roof had 3 hits for Clearwater, and is hitting .339 so far this year. Ethan Stewart threw 4 shut out frames, allowing 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 5. Luis Paulino took the loss, but 2 of the 3 runs he allowed were unearned.
