Because this is my blog and I can write what I want, I will shamelessly plug my family's restaurant, Ippolito's. Darby Myers is the first of this year's BlueClaws to visit, coming by with his host family after the game last Sunday. Since it opened in 2006, Ippolito's has been discovered by many BlueClaw players. Carlos Carrasco, Orlando Guevara, Quintin Berry, Gus Milner, Garrett Hill, Tuffy Gosewisch, former pitching coach Ed Hodge and even play-by-play man Brendan Burke have all sampled the cuisine. Ippolito's is located in the Shore Plaza on Route 70 between New Hampshire and Towbin. It is just a long fly ball from First Energy Park and, take it from me, once you come in once, you WILL come back.
Tell them "Uncle John sent me!!"
PS-We will be competing in the annual "Boss of the Sauce" sponsored by 105.7 The Hawk. The competition takes place Monday at 5:00 at Woodlake Country Club. Come on out, a $5.00 admission get you all can eat. And don't forget to vote for Ippolito's!!
