Pigs win!!!

The IronPigs won in Rochester, 6-2, last night (I believe I said that game was going to be in Allentown, but the teams remained in Rochester last night, before coming to Lehigh Valley today). Javon Moran and Jason Jaramillo had 2 hits each for the IronPigs, who stopped a 9 game skid to notch their 3rd victory of what has been a forgettable inaugural month (3-20).

Both of the Red Wings' runs were driven in by, say it with me: Homie!!! That's right, Randy Ruiz continues to knock the Pig's pitching around, this time it was a 2-run triple in the first inning. "Homie" has 12 RBI now.

In Richmond, Chris Roberson had 2 more hits in Norfolk's 8-6 defeat to Richmond. Robey is 5 for his last 7 with a walk in his last 8 plate appearances, and is now hitting .317 with 10 RBI. Mike Costanzo showed signs of coming out of his struggles, also picking up 2 hits. Mike is hitting .203.

In Oklahoma City, Robinson Tejeda was given a save opportunity, and blew it last night, surrendering the game winning home run to Brett Carroll, who is the brother of former BlueClaw Wes Carroll and major league Jamie Carroll. It was the first run given up by Tejeda in 5.2 innings so far.
