The dominoes have begun to fall into place. Kip Bouknight has been released from Reading, and replaced on the roster by Edgar Garcia. Garcia's spot in Clearwater has been taken by Darren Byrd, and Byrd's spot in Lakewood has gone to 2008 draft pick Vance Worley. Worley was the Phillies 3rd round pick last month from Long Beach State.
I have neglected to mention Matt Maloney. In his last 2 starts, Matt has pitched 16 innings, giving up just 2 runs on just 7 hits, picking up wins in each game. In 17 starts for AAA Louisville, Maloney is 8-4, with a 4.32 ERA.
