Just a little too late to get him to the All-Star game,
Ryan Howard is on one of his binges. In the last 7 games, Ryno has hit 7 home runs and driven in 11 runs. He leads the NL in both categories, 28 dingers and 84 RBI. The average is on a steady climb, and while the .236 mark is nothing to write home about, consider where he has come from. Howard is on a 14-game hitting streak, during which he is 20 for 56 (that's .357) with 9 HR and 19 RBI. He is hitting .378 in the month of July and has his lifetime ML average back to .280. Impressive!!
