2003 Lakewood BlueClaw and long time Phillies prospect Zack Segovia was released Friday, after battling but not being able to come back from repeated injuries. Zack is a new father, I was lucky enough to meet his lovely wife and adorable daughter when I was in Florida last month, and I wish him all the luck in the world.
Hang in there, Zack!! If you decide to keep playing, the HomeSide will always be on YOUR side.
Orlando Guevara was placed on the DL AGAIN, this time with a knee injury. Orlando has had nothing but bad luck with injuries the last few years.
On the bright side, Michael Durant has been cleared to play in the S.A.L. All Star game Tuesday night in Greensboro. Michael hasn't played since he hurt his ankle on May 20.
