Overbeck HR gives win to De Fratus

Cody Overbeck belted his 3rd home run of the year leading off the bottom of the 9th inning last night, giving the Clearwater Threshers a 3-2 win over Lakeland. The Threshers had tied the game at 2 in the 5th, on RBI hits by Derek Mitchell (single, SB, scored 1 and knocked in another) and Anthony Gose (2 for 4 including 2 out RBI double to tie game). J.C Ramirez, obtained in the Cliff Lee trade, threw 7 good innings, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits and 1 walk, striking out 8. Justin De Fratus came on to retire 6 of 7 hitters (3 Ks, 1 walk) and picked up the win when Overbeck went deep. Clearwater is now 9-6, tied with Dunedin for first place.
