Berry, Gose, Donald all make their case to play

In Grapefruit action on Tuesday, the Tigers beat the Phillies 10-6 in Clearwater.  Ryan Howard had a double in 3 at bats, and Domonic Brown was 0 for 3.  Jake Diekman did not help his cause as he tries to make the team, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits in 2 innings, striking out 3.  If there is  a silver lining for Diekman, he did not walk a hitter.  Quintin Berry had a hit and a walk, stole a base, and scored a run for the Tigers..........In Fort Myers, the Red Sox got past the Blue Jays, 5-3.  Anthony Gose (.367 this spring) had a double in 4 at bats, and threw out a runner at second base.  There are still a lot of outfielders in camp for the Jays, but Gose has kept himself in the mix with his good play this month.

Out in Scottsdale, the Reds beat the Dodgers, 6-2, Jason Donald made a pinch hitting appearance late in the game, and grounded into a double play.  Jason is hitting .286 so far this spring, has played all 3 infield postions (except first base) and could make the roster as a utility player waiting for an opportunity.
