The South Atlantic League announced it's All-Star selections tonight and the Lakewood BlueClaws are well represented. First baseman Michael Durant, who is currently rehabbing his ankle in Clearwater has received the honor, along with outfielder Michael Taylor, who belted his 9th home run of the season in tonight's 8-7 Lakewood victory over Hagerstown. Also named were pitcher Drew Naylor, who leads the S.A.L in strikeouts with 78, and catcher Joel Naughton, who has been very consistent both at bat and behind the plate. Congratulations to all our stars!!
Tonight's Lakewood win, combined with Delmarva's victory over Lake County, has the BlueClaws just 2 games out of first place with 13 games remaining in the first half. The BlueClaws have won 13 of their last 15 games and are the hottest team in baseball!!
