In Allentown, the IronPigs took a big step towards their first playoff berth in team history with a 3-0 win over Buffalo in the final home game of the regular season. Justin DeFratus pitched the 9th inning, recording his 7th save. With Gwinnett splitting a doubleheader with Charlotte, the IronPigs have a 1 game advantage with 2 games to go.
In Rochester, Andy Baldwin ended a long winless drought with 8 good innings for the Red Wings in their 6-3 win over Syracuse. Baldwin (7-13, 5.51) allowed 3 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks, winning for just 2nd time since July 16............In Colorado Springs, Adrian Cardenas (.313) had 2 singles, a double, 2 walks, and scored 4 runs for the playoff-bound River Cats in a 16-4 thrashing of the SkySox. Jesus Merchan (.303) had a single, a double and a triple for Colorado Springs....................In Indianapolis, Quintin Berry got his first AAA hit, stole 2 bases and scored 2 runs for Louisville, but the Bats dropped an 8-7 decision to the Indians. (sounds like a Mudcats game!).............In Pawtucket, Greg Golson had a hit and a walk, drove in a run and scored another one, but the Yankees lost to the Sox, 12-7..............In Las Vegas, Kyle Drabek pitched 7 innings for the 51s without walking a batter, a major step in the right direction for him. Kyle gave up 6 runs on 8 hits, but squeaked out the win in an 11-8 slugfest!..............
