Great Gavination

I am on my way out the door for the evening, but I had to drop in this post. Gavin Floyd pitched 7.1 innings this afternoon against Detroit before he gave up a hit. He came out of the game in the top of the 8th, with a 1-0 lead. The Sox exploded for 6 in the bottom of the 8th for a 7-0 victory. Floyd's line: 7.1 innings, 0 runs, 1 hit, 4 walks, 4 strike outs, and his second win in 2 starts this year. It is his 10th major league win in his career.
