Wednesday in Reading, Anthony Hewitt hit a 2-out, 3-run home run in the bottom of the 9th inning to give the Figthin Phils a 7-5 win over Altoona. Cameron Rupp also hit a 3-run shot, his was in the 1st inning, and each of them had 2 hits. Jim Murphy also had a 2-hit game, and is hitting .317. The win went to Brody Colvin (2-0) who allowed a run on a hit in 2 innings of relief........In Port Charlotte, Kelly Dugan (.312) and Cameron Perkins (.349) had 2 hits each and Perci Garner improved to 4-0, 2.32 as the Threshers edged the Stone Crabs, 3-2.......In Delmarva, Willie Carmona and Justin Dalles had 3 hits each for Lakewood, but the Shorebirds salvaged the final game of their series with an 8-6 win. Roman Quinn had 2 more hits and stole 2 more bases. Quinn is coming around, 12 for 34 (.353) the last 8 games, and has 22 steals now!!
In Corpus Christi, Domingo Santana had a 2-RBI double, 2 walks, and scored 3 runs to help lead the Hooks to an 8-2 win over Northwest Arkansas................In Sacramento, Michael Taylor (.326) had 2 of the River Cats' 6 hits in their 2-0 loss to New Orleans..........In Round Rock, Lisalverto Bonilla made a start for thge Express, and went 3 innings (57 pitches as they build him up) allowing just 1 hit, 1 earned run, NO walks, and 2 Ks, and he took the loss in a 6-2 Reno victory.
