OK, the Phillies have set their roster, and Mike Stutes has been sent back to Lehigh Valley, with Philippe Aumont winning the final bullpen spot. The Lakewood roster has been set, with 6 of the players returning from having played some here last year. You can find the list on the Claws' website.
I am short on time today with the holiday, but here are some notes from yesterday. The Blue Jays won in Philadelphia for the second straight day, beating Kyle Kendrick on Saturday. Kyle allowed 5 runs on 6 hits and a walk in his 3 innings. Antonio Bastardo also allowed a run on 2 hit and a walk, in just .2 innings. Domonic Brown, Ryan Howard, Carlos Ruiz and Freddy Galvis combined to go 0 for 9.
In Houston, Domingo Santana had 3 hits including a triple, knocked in 2 runs and scored another to pace the Astros to a 6-3 win over the Cubs. Jonathan Singleton was 0 for 3, with 2 walks, and Jason Jaramillo got 2 at bats in a back up role........In Milwaukee, Gavin Floyd made his final tune up appearance, throwing an inning against the Brewers and allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits and a walk, with 2 Ks.
Out in Scottsdale, the Indians trounced the Reds, 9-1. Michael Bourn had a double in his only at bat, and Lou Marson went 0 for 3 for the Indians.
I will go over where the former Claws will all be starting their season tomorrow, in the meantime, a Happy Easter to all and, PLAY BALL!
