Carrasco make first start

Carlos Carrasco joined the long of of HomeSider pitchers to get into the action on Tuesday in Goodyear, throwing 2 shutout innings for the Indians against the Dodgers. Carlos walked 1 and struck out 2, without giving up a hit in Cleveland's 1-0 win. Jason Donald was 1 for 3 for the Tribe.

Down in Florida, the Orioles doubled up the Rays, 12-6. R.J. Swindel tossed a 1-2-3 inning for Tampa. striking out 2 of the 3 hitter he faced. Detroit outscored the Phillies, 6-2, Kyle Kendrick making his first appearance of the spring. Kyle threw 2 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits (NO walks), picking up 1 K, and Mike Zagurski threw a scoreless 9th, surrendering just 1 walk, and striking out 1. Ryan Howard and Domonic Brown were each 0 for 3, and Matt Rizzotti (walk) and Joel Naughton (0 for 1) each made their spring debuts with the big club.
