'Claws prominent in Phillies game

In Clearwater on Saturday, a number of former BlueClaws got into the Phillies' 7-6 loss to the Jays. Kyle Kendrick started and threw 4.1 inning, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, NO walks, and struck out 2. Mike Stutes threw a scoreless frame, striking out 2 and Chance Chapman came in for the 9th and surrendered the winning run. Besides Ryan Howard (1 for 3) and Carlos Ruiz (2-run HR, bases loaded walk), former 'Claws Darrin Ruf (0 for 2), Tim Kennelly (0 for 1) and Travis Mattair also got game action. "Moose" got a big 2-RBI hit in the 3-run rally in the bottom of the 8th inning to tie up the game. The other part of the team went to Lakeland and dropped a 3-1 decision to the Tigers. Antonio Bastardo (who appears to have made the team with the optioning of Mike Zagurski) recorded 5 outs, allowing 2 hits and a walk, picking up 2 Ks, and Tuffy Gosewisch caught the 8th inning, but did not get an at bat. In Tampa, Jason Jaramillo had an RBI double in 4 at bats for Pittsburgh in the Yankees 4-2 win over the Pirates. With John Russell out as Pirate's manager, "J.J." has had to prove himself to a new staff and is hitting .429 with 7 RBI.
