Friday's highlights

In what looks to be a typical Phillies game for this year, the Phils beat the Braves, 3-1 Friday. Look for well pitched, low scoring contests that keep the team in every game. Ryan Howard had an RBI triple and a walk in 3 at bats.

Jason Jaramillo was 0 for 1 in his only at bat for the Pirates in Pittsburgh's 9-5 loss to the Rays.....Michael Bourn was 1 for 4 and scored a run (he also made a throwing error) in the Astros' 6-4 loss to the Yankees........Anthony Gose was 1 for 5, scored a run and stole his 9th base of the spring as the Blue Jays beat the Red Sox, 11-8..........Gavin Floyd was strong, throwing 7 innings, allowing just 3 runs on 8 hits and 1 walk, striking out 3, to lead the White Sox to a 7-3 win over the Diamondbacks.....Robinson Tejeda threw a 1-2-3 inning for the Royals, as Kansas City beat the Giants, 15-3........Matt Maloney had his roughest outing of the spring, surrendering 3 runs on 6 hits in just 2 innings against the Padres..... Lou Marson's difficult spring continues, another 0 for 3 and Lou is hitting just .143 for the Indians, and may head back to Columbus if this keeps up.

Major cuts will be happening in minor league camps this weekend with the calender approaching April. I will try to find out all about it.
