Wednesday hi-lights

The Phillies did not play a major league game Wednesday, so Roy Halladay threw in the AAA game. Tim Kennelly homered in that game, Matt Rizzotti had 2 hits and 2 RBI and Sebastian Valle added a hit and an RBI. In the AA game, Justin De Fratus and Jacob Diekman threw 2 scoreless frames each and Mike Dabbs picked up 2 hits.

In the "high A" game, the Phillies managed just 5 hits, but Jiwan James, Jeremy Barnes and Brian Gump had 3 of them. Brody Colvin and Julio Rodriguez threw 2 innings each.

Over in Bradenton, Kyle Drabek threw 5 innings for the Blue Jays in their 5-3 win over the Pirates. Kyle allowed 2 runs on 7 hits and a walk, struck out 2 and picked up his second spring win. Anthony Gose got into the game as a pinch runner and stole his 8th base in major league spring games!! Lakewood's all time steal leader, Gose is ready for another high energy season..... R.J. Swindel gave up a run on 2 hits for the Rays against the Marlins in Tampa's 6-3 win and Taylor Buchholz threw another shut out frame for the Mets in their 4-3 loss to Minnesota. Buchholz is still unscored upon this spring, and looking like he did a few years ago with Colorado.
