Tuesday night in Delmarva, the South defeated the North in the S.A.L. All Star game, 6-3. David Buchanan started for the North and threw a shut out frame. Lisalberto Bonilla had to bail out Hickory's Ramon Mendez, and was the only North pitcher to record 4 outs. He was charged with a run on 2 hits, and then Garrett Claypool struck out 2 of the 3 hitters he faced. Jim Murphy and Anthony Hewitt had a hit each for the North, with Murphy driving in a run.
Chris Wallace of Lexington won the home run derby, belting a total of 20!!
In Jackson, Tennessee, Will Savage threw a scoreless inning for the North, as they beat the South 6-3 in the Southern League All Star Game.
