Tuesday night in Allentown, the Indianapolis Indians took down the IronPigs, 2-0. Justin DeFratus recorded the final 4 outs, allowing a run on 2 hits, NO walks, and struck out 2........In Scranton, the Yankees were held to just 3 hits and blown out by Norfolk, 8-1. Greg Golson (.280) walked and scored the only run for Scranton, and also threw out a runner on the bases............In Cloumbus, Jason Donald had a single, a double, a sacrifice and scored a run for the Clippers in their 4-3 win over Toledo. Jason is hitting .300 for the Clippers, but the Indians do not appear ready to bring him back to the big team yet...........In Nashville, former major leaguer Jeff Suppan stopped the Sounds on just 2 hits for a 7-0 Omaha victory. Zack Segovia threw the last 2 innings for Nashville, and allowed a run on 5 hits and a walk, striking out 2 for the Sounds.............In Tucson, the Sacramento River Cats won a 4-3 game on a single by Michael Taylor in the top of the 10th inning. It was the second hit of the game for Taylor (.289) and RBI #22 on the year.
In Reading, red hot Freddy Galvis had 2 more hits, a single and a double, and scored the lone run for the R-Phils in their 4-1 loss to Erie. In the last 6 games, Galvis is 11 for 27 (.407). B.J. Rosenberg allowed 3 runs in the top of the 1st, but settled in and went 7 strong innings, giving up just 1 more run in his final 6 innings. Chris Kissock finished, tossong 2 scoreless frames for Reading...........In Corpus Christi, Jonathan Villar had a triple in 4 at bats and scored 2 runs for the Hooks, but San Antonio won the game, 10-6.
In Clearwater, Jonathan Singleton had a single, a double, a walk, and a 3-run home run, driving in 6 runs altogether, but the Threshers were outdone by Tampa, 11-9. Jiwan James (.268) and D'Arby Myers (.254) also had 3 hits each, and Troy Hanzawa added 2 hits , including his 2nd home run of the season. Jarred Cosart (4 IP, 4 runs, 5 hits, 3 walks), Joe Esposito (2 IP, 5 runs, 2 earned, 3 hits-including 2 dingers, 3 walks)and Jordan Whatcott (3IP, 2 runs, 5 hits) were all hit hard.
