Claws top Tourists, 1 game out

Matt Rizzotti's 3rd home run in 3 games, this one in the 11th inning, gave the Lakewood BlueClaws their 5th straight win on the current road trip and brings them to within 1 game of first place West Virginia. Jared Simon picked up his 6th win of the year, after allowing 2 unearned runs in the bottom of the 9th. It was an excellent start for Walter Tejeda, who threw 6 innings of 4-hit, 1 run ball. Travis Mattair (.255)had his second consecutive 3-hit game,. including his 2nd homer and Freddy Galvis (.227) and T.J. Warren (.282)added 2 hits each for Lakewood.

Matt Spencer had 3 hits and a walk, the last hit in the 10th inning, game winning rally as Stockton beat Inland Empire 7-4. Adrian Cardenas also added a hit as the pair played in their 2nd game for the Oakland affiliate.

Zack Segovia picked up his second win for Potomac on Friday night, in the Nationals' 13-5 win over Lynchburg. Zack threw 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, 1 walk, 6 strike outs, to improve to 2-1, 2.70 for Potomac.

Josh Outman to make his first start for Midland in San Antonio tonight, as the A's have put him in the rotation.
