HomeSiders on the mound in the show

Checking in on the major leaguers last night, Kyle Kendrick pitched 6.1 innings for the Phillies against Arizona, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits, NO walks, striking out 4, receiving no decision in the Phillies eventual 6-5, 12-inning victory. Kendrick is 8-3, 4.47 for the year.

Gavin Floyd had his roughest outing of the year Friday in Arlington. Gavin lasted only 2.2 innings, giving up a season high 6 runs and issuing a career high 7 walks in the White Sox 7-2 loss to Texas. Gavin is 10-5, 3.63 in 18 starts this season.

The news was not any better at Shea Stadium last night, where Taylor Buchholz gave up the game winning home run to Damion Easley in the bottom of the 8th inning in the Rockies 2-1 loss to New York. Taylor has hit a rough spot recently, but his overall numbers are still impressive. 40 appearances, 44.1 innings of work, 3-3 (and 1 for 2 in save opportunities) with a 1.83 ERA.
