injury updates

Michael Dubee has returned from the DL for the Winston-Salem Warthogs. After missing 3 weeks, Mike has made 6 appearances for the Warthogs since June 13, throwing a total of 17.2 innings. The results have not been good. 14 earned runs on 23 hits and 9 walks. It is like spring training all over again, so hopefully he can find the groove that he was in before the injury.

Another HomeSider back from the DL is Kevin Howard. After 8 games in the GCL to regain his timing, Kevin returned to the Las Vegas 51's on July 4. He is 7 for 24 (that's .291) in the 7 games since then, and hitting .268 in 43 games overall for the Dodgers affiliate.

The comeback continues for Zack Segovia. After 1 start (against the BlueClaws) for Hagerstown, Zack was promoted to Potomac, where he pitched 5.2 scoreless innings, 3 hits, 2 walks, 5 K's against Salem to earn the victory for the Nationals. He will face the same Avalanche team tonight in Salem.

Scott Mitchinson remains on the DL for the Kane County Cougars. Scott is 5-3, 1.90 in 12 starts for the Oakland affiliate.
