Cardenas, Singleton stay hot

In Nashville, Zack Segovia threw 2 scoreless innings to finish up the Sounds' 7-5 loss to Memphis. Zack (4.04) allowed 1 hit and 1 walk.............In Fresno, Adrian Cardenas (.312) had 3 hits, including a double and scored a run for Sacramento in the River Cats' 6-4 win over the Grizzlies. Michael Taylor (.278) added a hit, his 14th stolen base and also scored a run for the Cats..............In Corpus Christi, the San Antonio Missions romped over the Hooks, 13-1. The lone run for the Hooks came on Jonathan Villar's home run in the 8th inning. It was the 14th home run of the year for Villar, and the 10th since his promotion. Josh Zeid continues to struggle to adjust to the Texas League, allowing 2 runs on 2 dingers in 2 innings, his ERA ballooning to 9.49 since joining the Astros............In Lake Elsinore, Jonathan Singleton continues to rake, belting 2 more hits, driving in a run and scoring 2 as the Lancaster JetHawks beat the Storm, 9-4. Singleton is hitting .343 since his trade, and an impressive .299 with 60 RBI overall with Clearwater and Lancaster........In Clearwater, Darin Ruf (.316) hit his 17th home run and the Threshers took a 4-3, 10-inning win from Lakeland. That is 4 wins in a row for Clearwater (33-28 in the second half, 72-58 overall) who still trail Dunedin by 2.5 games
