major leaguers breaking camp

Most of the major league teams will be breaking camp today or tomorrow in preparation for opening day.

Wednesday in Florida, the Red Sox beat the Pirates, 4-3. Jason Jaramillo recieved a walk in his only at bat. The Astros stopped the Reds, 7-2, with Michael Bourn having a big day. Bourn had 2 singles, a double, a walk, 2 stolen bases, scored twice and drove in another run. That is Michael's second 3-hit game in less than a week. Just in time for the opener!!

The Yankees beat the Phillies 8-5, scoring all their runs off Kyle Drabek (2.1 IP, 5 runs, 4 earned, 5 hits, 2 walks, 1 strike out) and J.A. Happ (2.2 IP, 3 runs, 4 hits, 2 walks, 1 strike out). For Drabek, the start was a reward for his hard work in rehab after his surgery. In Happ's case, if he was a little off his game after learning he was excluded from the rotation, I can forgive him for that. After all, he did everything the Phillies asked and was just beat out by a superior effort from Chan Ho Park. Carlos Ruiz was 1 for 4 and scored a run for the Phils.
