R.J. Swindel came into last night's game against the Phillies in the 5th inning in a key situation: bases loaded, Ryan Howard at the plate. R.J. must have been reaching back for a little extra, as he uncorked a wild pitch which let 2 runs score. In all Swindel threw 1.1 innings,allowing all 3 inherited runners to cross the plate , as well as 1 run charged to him on 2 hits and a walk, striking out 2. It was his debut for the Brewers, and if he was a little nervous, I can forgive him that.
In Pittsburgh, Jason Jaramillo was 1 for 2, an RBI single and a walk in the Pirate's 3-2 win over the Marlins. The news on Ryan Doumit is not good, he could be out 10 weeks! This could be JJ's big break!!
