In Syracuse, Lehigh Valley defeated Syracuse, 5-2 Wednesday, and Drew Carpenter showed well for 5 innings. He gave up 2 runs, on 2 hits and 4 walks, struck out 3 and kept the team in the game, which they won later.
In Las Vegas, Randy Ruiz continues to hit!! On Wednesday he had 2 for 2 and a walk, is now hitting .360 and driven in 17. C'mon Toronto; Call him up!!
In Oklahoma City, the RedHawks won, 7-6 in the bottom of the 10th inning, when Greg Golson (.333) opened the inning with a walk and then scored the game winning run. It was Golson's second run scored of the game, he had another hit beside the walk. Elizardo Ramirez started for Oklahoma City, and only made it 5.1 innings. He gave up 8 hits, 5 runs, 3 earned, 2 walks, and 4 Ks and received no decision.
In Reno, Chris Roberson, had a double, a 2-run HR, and a walk, scored twice and drove home 2 in Reno's 16-8 loss to Colorado Springs, raising his average to .267.
