The Altoona Curve hung on for a 5-4 win over Reading on Wednesday. Joe Savery has continued the theme of the pitchers hitting, Savery had a single and a double and scored 2 runs. He also pitched 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, and 2 walks, striking out 6. Joe Bisenius got 5 outs, but gave up the go ahead run after 2 out in the 7th. Sergio Escalona came in for the final out. Other than Savery, Quintin Berry continues to show signs of breaking out, with another 2 hit (1 run, 1 RBI) game.
In Harrisburg Wednesday, at the end of a long night, in the second game of a doubleheader, Zack Segovia was called into a 2-2 tie in the top of the 7th (remember, it is a 7 inning game) with 1 out and a runner at second base, and Damaso Espino promptly singled in the go-ahead run before Zack retired the side.
