Floyd, Simon, Worley all roughed up

The Phillies went down to Lee County and got beat by the Twins, 11-7 on Thursday. Carlos Ruiz (up to .472) had a single, a double and an RBI and was replaced by Tuffy Gosewisch, who had 2 hits himself, driving a in a run and scoring another. Tuffy has been slated for Lehigh Valley, but at .317 is still a dark horse to make the team. Tim Kennelly also got an at bat in the game. Vance Worley took the loss, allowing all 11 runs, only 5 of which were earned on 11 hits, NO walks and 2 Ks over 4 innings.

In Dunedin, the 21-4 Blue Jays jumped on Baltimore's Alfredo Simon for 6 runs on 6 hits in just 2 innings en route to a 9-3 win over the Orioles..........In Lake Buena Vista, Michael Bourn had 1 for 4 for Atlanta in the Braves' 5-5 draw with the Yankees............In Phoenix, the Brewers defeated the Diamondbacks, 7-1. Mike Zagurski threw a 1-2-3 inning for Arizona..............In Mesa, Jason Donald was 0 for 2 for Cleveland in the Indians' 2-0 loss to the Cubs.......In Scottsdale, Gavin Floyd allowed 8 run, 7 earned on 8 hits in 6.2 innings of work against the Rockies. Gavin seemed to run out of gas in the 7th and it all came apart for him, as Colorado went on to an 8-5 victory.
