Phils deal Tigers first loss

In Lakeland, the Phillies defeated the previously unbeaten Tigers (6-1) by a score of 7-5. Quintin Berry had a double and scored a run as his impressive first camp with Detroit continues. Carlos Ruiz belted a 3-run homer, Sebastian Valle had walk in 2 plate appearances, and Freddy Galvis had another hit (.357 this spring so far!).

In Kissimmee, the Blue Jays stomped the Astros, 11-2. Anthony Gose had a single and a double, while Travis d'Arnaud had a walk and a 2-run home run for Toronto. Jay Happ started for the Astros (2.2 IP 3 runs 5 hits, 3 walks), and Jonathan Singleton and Jonathan Villar each got an at bat for Houston.........In Tampa, Michael Bourn was 1 for 3 for Atlanta, but the Braves were shut out by the Yankees, 3-0.

In Glendale, the Cubs beat the White Sox, 5-1. Adrian Cardenas was 0 for 2, and Lendy Castillo threw a 1-2-3 inning for the Cubbies.
