Padres finally beat Phils; Happ's woes continue
The Padres stopped the Phillies, 5-4 Monday, ending a 10-game losing streak to Philadelphia. Domonic Brown had an RBI-triple and scored a run (he also walked), Carlos Ruiz drove in Brown with an single, and Ryan Howard also chipped in with a hit. Mike Stutes threw 2 perfect innings, striking out 2................In St Louis, the Cardinals throttled Jay Happ for 6 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in just 4.2 innings of work on their way to a 10-5 win. Happ is now 4-12, with an ERA of 6.12! Yikes!! Michael Bourn extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a single, scoring a run for the Astros.
