In Clearwater, the Daytona Cubs edged the Threshers, 4-3.
Jonathan Singleton had the only multi-hit game, collecting a single and a double, and driving in a run.
Trevor May (0-2, 7.71)was the starter for Clearwater and went 4 pressure filled innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks.
Jordan Ellis had another impressive outing, this time for 2.2 innings, just 2 hit, and 5 strike outs! Ellis in unscored upon in 7.2 innings so far this season. The Threshers are now 8-5, and are a game behind Lakeland for first place.
