Floyd wins, Happ loses
Gavin Floyd threw 6 innings in St. Petersburg on Thursday night, picking up his 2nd win of the season in the White Sox' 9-2 win over the Rays. Gavin gave up 2 runs on 7 hits, 2 walks, and 2 plunks, picking up 7 strike outs. Jay Happ was not so fortunate, getting tattooed for 6 runs on 6 hits and a walk in just 4.2 innings in New York, and taking the loss in the Mets' 9-1 win. Michael Bourn had a single and a walk for Houston, and Taylor Buchholz threw 2 more scoreless innings for New York............In San Diego, the Phillies shut out the Padres, 3-0 behind Roy Oswalt. Ryan Howard was 0 for 5 (4 strike outs), and Antonio Bastardo recorded 4 outs, striking out 2 and giving up 1 walk and 1 hit.
