A quiet night for the HomeSide around the major leagues.
In Houston, Tyler Cloyd made his 4th major league start on short rest, throwing 3 shut out innings before allowing a 3-run home run in the 4th. BJ Rosenberg came on for 2 shut out frames, and Antonio Bastardo notched his 21st hold with a scoreless inning before Philippe Aumont and Jake Diekman gave up the winning runs in the bottom of the 8th in a 6-4 Astros win, ending the Phillies 6 game winning streak. Carlos Ruiz had a pinch hit single, raising his average to .342, Ryan Howard had an RBI hit, and Domonic Brown had 2 walks and scored a run for the Phillies. Darin Ruf has yet to get in a game.
In Arlington, the Cleveland Indians scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning to shock the Texas Rangers, 5-4. Jason Donald came on as a pinch runner during the rally, and scored the tying run, and Lou Marson was 1 for 3 for the Tribe.........In Toronto, Anthony Gose had a double and a walk, and scored a run for the Blue Jays in an 8-3 win over Seattle.
