Big win for Floyd as Sox and Tigers both win

In Detroit Tuesday night, the Tigers pounded the Athletics, 12-2 behind 2 home runs and 6 RBI from Miguel Cabrera.  Cabrera now has 40 home runs and 129 RBI on the year.  Can you say MVP?  Quintin Berry (.272) added a single and a double and knocked in 2 runs also for the Tigers........In Kansas City, Gavin Floyd returned to form for the White Sox.  After a shaky first inning in which he allowed 2 runs, Gavin slammed the door on the Royals offense and picked up his 10th win of the year in the Sox 3-2 victory.  Floyd allowed just 1 more hit and 1 walk the rest of his outing in a big win for Chicago.  It was win #63 for the HomeSide this year...........In Miami, Michael Bourn (.272) was 0 for 5 again for the Braves in their 4-3 loss to the Marlins.  After a very good season, Bourn has hit the skids, and is just 10 for 58 (.172) in September.........In San Francisco, the Giants topped the Rockies, 6-3.  Josh Outman gave up 2 runs on 2 hits in just .2 innings for Colorado.

The Phillies were rained out in New York and will  play  tomorrow to make it up.
