When Carlos Carrasco played for Lakewood 6 years ago, one of his favorite places to go for dinner was Ippolito's on Route 70. Carrasco came back Thursday night for dinner and sat down with my wife and I for dinner. Ippolito's has been a hang out for many players over the years, drawn to it by both the great food and the family atmosphere.
Carlos will start and pitch 2 innings tonight in Trenton for the Akron Aeros, and told me he is completly healed and ready to go for spring training.
A big thank you to Lynn Hoffman, who went to Trenton to bring Carlos to us.
