Claws snap losing streak

Behind very good starting pitching Wednesday in Salisbury, the BlueClaws broke their 5 game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over Delmarva. Jesse Biddle had his best game of the season, going 6 shut out innings (5 hits, 4 walks, season high 8 Ks) to pick up his 2nd win. The 19-year old continues to look a little more comfortable each time out and is showing steady improvement. Jay Johnson (2 IP, 1 walk, 4 K, hold) and Tyler Knigge (1 IP,1 K, save) completed the shut out.

Lakewood scored in the 1st inning, Michael Dabbs doubling in Geancarlo Mendez and Jim Murphy for all the runs there were to be. Dabbs bat has been a shot in the arm for the offense, he has 3 doubles and 3 RBI in 2 games so far.
