Outman continues comeback

Josh Outman's long road to recovery continued Wednesday night in Memphis with a 6-inning shut out outing against the RedBirds. Josh allowed just 3 hits, but 5 walks, and struck out 6 to improve to 3-1 for the Oakland affiliate. Adrian Cardenas (.333) was 1 for 4 for Sacramento.

In Reno, Robinson Tejeda made his 3rd rehab appearance for Omaha, tossing another scoreless inning for the Storm Chasers. It should not be much longer before he is recalled by Kansas City.

In Toledo, Domonic Brown (.353 during rehab) was 1 for 4, with a walk, an RBI and scored a run in the IronPig's 8-1 win over the Mud Hens. Lehigh Valley is now 19-14 and into first place in the International League North!


In San Jose, Jonathan Villar had 2 more hits and 2 more walks, and stole another base (he's 19 for 23) for Lancaster, but the Giants won the game, 5-2........In Birmingham, the Barons beat the Mudcats, 5-2. Quintin Berry had 2 walks for Carolina, and stole his 7th base of the young year.......In Bowie, Alfredo Simon made his 2nd start for the BaySox, tossing 5 innings and allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks, striking out 8 and receiving no decision in Bowie's 6-5 win over Richmond.
