Claws win 6th straight

After dropping the first game of their 7 game road trip, the BlueClaws won the last 2 in Maryland and enjoyed a 4-game sweep of the Power in West Virginia. Lakewood won 6-5 on getaway day, the highlight being back-to-back home runs in the 8th inning by Mike Dabbs and Anthony Hewitt. For Hewitt, it was his 6th of the year (all in the month of May), and was part of a 3-hit game. He has had multi-hits games in 3 of the last 4, and stole 2 more bases yesterday for a total of 14. Aaron Altherr (single, double, 2 RBI) and Alan Schoenberger had 2 hits each to aid the offense. Lisalberto Bonilla continues to pitch well for Lakewood, giving the team 3 innings of relif, allowing just 1 run on 1 hit and striking out 4, lowering his ERA to 1.47. The win went to Juan Sosa, who blew the save and was in the right place when the Claws scored the game winner, and big ups to Jay Johnson, who had to come in for the last out to strike out Justin Howard with the tying run on second.
