Carrasco's 2nd start

Carlos Carrasco made his 2nd start for the Cleveland Indians Tuesday in the opening game of their doubleheader with Texas. Carlos was scheduled to go on Monday, but the game was rained out. He threw 5 innings tonight, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits, 3 walks (1 intentional), striking out 4. He pitched better today than last week in Detroit, this time managing to get ahead of the hitters. Now if we can just keep those 2-strike pitches away from the fat part of the plate....O well, baby steps...Lou Marson was his catcher tonight, and Lou had a double and scored a run in the bottom of the 5th. So it is Rangers 5, Indians 3 going to the 6th.

In another note, Matt Maloney, Carrasco's 2006 teammate here in Lakewood, is going tonight for the Reds in Denver. It will be Matt's 5th start for the Reds this year.
