Drive stays alive against Lakewood

The Greenville Drive took a 3-2 decision from the Lakewood BlueClaws in game 3 of the SAL Championship Series Thursday night in South Carolina. Jacob Diekman was the losing pitcher, allowing all 3 runs in the 6th inning. This was after Trevor May tossed 5 shut out frames to start the contest.

Anthony Gose and Jim Murphy had 3 hits apiece for Lakewood, but the BlueClaws stranded 12 runners and were always 1 hit short of what they needed.

Lakewood still leads Greenville, 2 games to 1 with game 4 Friday night, weather permitting, in Greenville. Korey Noles (1-0, 1.17 for Lakewood) will get the assignment for the BlueClaws.
