Chapman shines again

Chance Chapman has done everything right since joining Reading. Last night, Chance started in New Britain and threw 5 scoreless innings as the Reading Phillies got back on the winning track with a 3-1 win over the Rock Cats. Chapman is now 7-1, 2.26 since being promoted from Clearwater, and 10-2, 1.80 overall in 75 total innings of work this year. I am sure he has opened some eyes around the organization.

Mike Zagurski (2 IP, 3 Ks, 0 hits) and Scott Mathieson (1 IP, 1R, 2 walks, 1 hit, +save) finished off the Rock Cats. Tim Kennelly had a hit and 2 RBI to help the Reading attack.

With Harrisburg defeating Erie, 4-3, the R-Phils are now a game in front of the Sea Wolves in the race for the final playoff spot! Vance Worley (7-11) will go tonight in Norwich against the North Division leading Defenders, while the Sea Wolves will face South Division pace-setter Akron in Ohio.
