The Lakewood BlueClaws swept the Kannapolis Intimitadors out of the playoffs with a convincing 9-0 win on a rainy night in Lakewood to advance to the SAL finals for the second time in the last 4 years. Solid pitching from Trevor May (6 IP 2 hits, 3 walks, 8 Ks) and a 14-hit attack puts the BlueClaws in the finals beginning Monday at home against the Greenville Drive. Designated hitter Sebatian Valle (pictured) had 3 hits, including a big 3-run home run to cap off the scoring, and 4 RBI and Troy Hanzawa also added 3 hits to the attack. Lakewood got contributions up and down the line-up, Travis d'Arnaud had 2 doubles and an RBI, Harold Garcia added 2 hits and an RBI, and Jacob Diekman, Ryan Bergh, and Freddy Ballestas each threw a scoreless inning of relief.
