in the majors

In Wrigley Field, Michael Bourn had a double, a walk, scored a run and drove one in, in the Astros' 5-3 win over the Cubs. Michael is hitting .292, and while he didn't steal a base yesterday, still lead the NL with 48!!

In Arlington, the Blue Jays pounded the Rangers 18-10!! When I saw this score I got very exciting, thinking Randy Ruiz could have had a big game. Randy was 0 for 2 with 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, scoring 1 run, so I was a little let down. O well, go get 'em today, Randy!!

In Minnesota, Gavin Floyd once again had grounds to sue his mates for non-support, as the Twins topped the White Sox, 4-1. Floyd went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits, NO walks, striking out 4, and absorbing the loss to fall to 10-9, 3.97 on the year.

O yea, the Reds have messed up Matt Maloney's post season. Matt has been optioned to AA, the Carolina Mudcats. I believe he is now ineligible for the International League playoffs.
