Donald making progress; Baldwin tops Yanks

In Binghamton, the Mets defeated New Hampshire, 4-1. Travis d'Arnaud had 2 hits and scored the Fisher Cats' only run. He also threw out a would-be base stealer. Speaking of base stealers, Anthony Gose had a double in 4 at bats, but did not steal a base! The 3rd HomeSider on the Cats, Bobby Korecky has been put on the disabled list, retroactive to April 10. There is only a 7-day list in the minors, so basically Korecky could play as soon as he is ready now..........Good news for Jason Donald, who completed a 3-game rehab stint with Akron, going 3 for 11. "J.D." then played Thursday and Saturday for Columbus, as his rehab assignment continues.........In Scranton on Sunday, old friend Andy Baldwin started for Rochester and defeated the Yankees, 6-3. Andy went 7, allowing 3 runs on just 4 hits, NO walks, and struck out 8 to improve to 1-1 for the Red Wings. Greg Golson was 0 for 4 for Scranton.............Jason Jaramillo made his debut for the Indianapolis Indians in the 9th inning, then caught for 4 more innings before Louisville defeated the Indians, 6-4 in 13..........In Durham, the Gwinnett Braves overwhelmed the Bulls, 18-7. R.J. Swindel threw 1.2 innings for Durham, allowing a run on 4 hits and a walk............In Tacoma, Adrian Cardenas had 2 hits and 2 walks as the River Cats defeated the home team, 3-1.. Cardenas is now hitting .484!
