Rizz gets 3 more hits

Matt Rizzotti (.440) had 2 singles, a double, a walk, and drove in 2 runs, but the Akron Aeros beat Reading, 6-3. Mike Spidale added 2 hits and drove in the 3rd Reading run. Chris Kissock started and was charged with the loss, throwing 5.2 innings, and giving up all 6 runs on 9 hits and 2 walks, before yielding to B.J. Rosenberg. "Rosie" got 4 outs, 2 Ks, and Phillippe Aumont finished it off with a scoreless frame...............In Clearwater, the Threshers beat Brevard County, 4-2. Jonathan Singleton drove in 2 runs for Clearwater and Leadro Castro had 2 hits and scored twice. Julio Rodriguez started and went 5 good innings, surrendering just 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5 to improve to 2-0 on the year..............In Asheville, the Tourists beat Lakewood, 5-4. Jeremy Barnes had 3 hits for the Claws, and Jim Murphy (3rd HR) and Stephen Batts added 2 hits each as the Lakewood bats seem to be warming up. Garrett Claypool started and lasted 4 innings, giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 7. Chase Johnson (2.2 IP, 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 Ks) and Juan Sosa (1.1 IP, 1 walk) threw scoreless relief.
