Padres top Happ; Maloney rebounds

The Padres beat Jay Happ and the Astros Friday night, 4-2. Happ (1-2) was strong for 6 innings, before giving up 3 in the 7th. Overall 4 runs, 7 hits and 2 walk, 3 Ks. Michael Bourn was 2 for 4, stealing his 6th base and scoring a run for Houston. Bourn is 6 for 6 in steals so far.......In Cleveland, Lou Marson (.400) was 1 for 4, with an RBI and 2 runs scored for the Indians as the Tribe defeated Baltimore, 8-2. The Indians are now 9-4 on the year!......In Philadelphia, the Marlins came from behind to beat the Phillies, 4-3. Ryan Howard knocked in his 14th run of the year with a sacrifice fly, and Carlos Ruiz was 1 for 4 to raise his average to .341. Antonio Bastardo came on in the 7th inning, retired both hitters he faced and stranding both runners he inherited..............In Cincinnati, Matt Maloney bounced back from a bad outing in his last appearance with 4 shut out innings in relief of Bronson Arroyo. Matt allowed just 4 hits, and picked up 4 Ks. Maloney's effort kept the Reds in the game, but the offense could not get going and Pirates won, 6-1.
