Worley, Howard lead Phils to win

Ryan Howard blasted 2 more home runs, one a grand slam, and drove in 6 runs top lead the Phillies to a 10-3 win over New York Friday night. The 6 RBI establish a new Phillie's record for runs driven in in April with 27!

Vance Worley made the start in place of Joe Blanton, and went 6 shut out inning, surrendering only 2 hits and 4 walks, striking out 5 to notch the win. Mike Stutes also threw a shut out frame in relief, picking up 2 Ks.

Michael Bourn was 1 for 3 with a walk, and stole 2 bases ( that's 11) for the Astros, but Milwaukee topped Houston, 5-0.

In a transaction that I missed earlier this week, the Cincinnati Reds have optioned Matt Maloney back to AAA Louisville. Matt pitched 4 innings against Durham on Thursday night.
